We follow a purpose driven model of encouraging all youth and leaders to develop in their faith and be ministers. The members are the ministers, the pastors serve as encouragers and motivators for ministry.
Purpose of NVF Youth Ministry:
A- Accept youth right where they are
B- Belong give youth a place to belong/a family
C- Christ lead them to a personal relationship with Christ and strengthen that relationship
D- Do the Word (James 1:22) Give opportunities to put their faith in action
And do something to reach out to a hurting world.

Who are the youth?
Special youth activities and events are offered for youth in grades 6 12.
Rising 6th graders become part of the program on June 1 at the beginning of each summer. Graduating seniors move into the young adult ministry of the church in June after their graduation.

When are the meetings/ what do we do?
Our regular youth meetings are on Wed. nights from 7 8pm. During this meeting, we have a time of praise and worship with the entire church and then break up into small groups for Bible study/games/fellowship.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
Special events continue throughout the year. Among these are spring retreats, trips to Ft. Caswell/NC Baptist Assembly, summer mission trips, concerts, campouts, 30 hr. famine, mission trip fundraisers, short-term mission projects and others.

Rock-in-Him
ROCK-IN-HIM is another special event that our youth are helping to lead. This is an area-wide program for youth in different churches to lead in worship (in their way). On the last Sunday night of each month, a different church will host the program and their youth lead in worship. This is a fantastic opportunity for the youth to become leaders and to worship in an exciting, upbeat, free manner. It is completely youth-led. This is their time!! Currently 7 10 churches are involved in the program and it continues to grow. Contact Greg Gentry, Youth Leader at New Vision Fellowship (427-6264) here or Wendy Crow, Minister of Youth & Education, First Baptist Church of Mayodan (427-2565) for more information.
