NVF is affiliated with the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina and the Pilot Mountain Baptist Association.

We are a contemporary format church. The services are spirited, fun, and moving. We have a praise team with electric guitars, keyboard and drums and we do a variety of music from contemporary Christian songs to old hymns. There is no pressure to join or to give, in fact we ask visitors not to give, but to let the service be our gift to you.

We have lots of young families at NVF. We offer children’s classes during the Sunday morning Bible Study. During Sunday morning worship service the pastor has a short "children's sermon" to which the younger kids are invited to come up and participate. After the sermon we offer Children's Church for ages 3-5 and 6-10. A nursery is provided for children up to age 3. During the Wednesday night service, we offer study groups for young people of all ages.
