If anyone has pictures of any of the events you see here, please get copies to Mike Leffew and he will post them here for all to see.

We held a benefit supper/singing on Aug 21 here at the church. We had a hot dog plate and some great music. Thanks to all who came out in support of this event.

Our blood drive was Monday, Aug 2nd. It was great success. We collected 41 units and had more than that attempt. Thanks to all who donated or tried and to those who put it all together. A special thanks to Charlene White. A few pictures here.

The church  celebrated our birthday in August .  Do you believe NVF is 13?

VBS was the week of July 12-16. The theme was "High Seas Expedition". Thanks to all who helped with this ministry. A few pictures of VBS are here.

We had a great time at our old fashioned fourth celebration here at NVF. Thanks to all who helped put it together.

Baptism Service Sunday, July 11, congratulations to those who were baptized.

Please be careful coming and going since the new Lindsey Bridge Road has opened. It takes folks a while to get used to a new traffic pattern and we don't want to see anyone have an accident in the meantime.

Please continue to pray for the earthquake victims, both in Haiti and in Chile. If you would like to donate please do so through a reputable organization, like the Red Cross, Samaritan's Purse or the NC Baptist Men.

Joy Hodge has redone the church directory. Copies will be available soon. If you would like to have it emailed to you, please see Joy and give her your email address.

We are had our first baptism service in the new facility on January 24th. Praise the Lord, then, Praise Him Again!

On Monday, Jan 11th we hosted a blood drive at NVF. We do this on a recurring time table. We donated 28 units of blood and had another 12 people who attempted to donate. The next drive will be in April, please come out and give the gift of life.

At Christmas time we hosted "the First Christmas" event, celebrating our first Christmas in the new building and, of course, the real first Christmas.

We had our first "Trunk or Treat" this year and we had an Open House for our friends and neighbors to check out our new location. Both were very successful events, thanks to those who put them together.

WE HAVE MOVED!!  Sunday, Oct 4 was our first service in the new building.

1. Happy Independence Day, 2009. The 4th of July weekend just past and NVF had our annual picnic at Farris Park this year. The weather was damp, but it didn't dampen the spirit. Good food, good fellowship and good music. In spite of the weather stopping the softball or volleyball games, everyone enjoyed the time together.  Next year, we will be in the new building and play ball on our own ball field.

2. The World Changers were in Rockingham county last week. Thanks to them for coming, and thanks to the NVF church goers who furnished them with lunches and to the youth who worked with them. Praise the Lord for this ministry.

3. We had our VBS the week of June 22-26 this year and all went to the Crocodile Dock. All the kids had a great time as they learned about Jesus and other Bible lessons. Thanks to all who helped with this effort.

4. It won't be much longer until we are in the new building at Hwy 311 and Lindsey Bridge Road. We are almost at the point to start some of the volunteer labor, such as painting, to help us get in even quicker. If you would like to help, see Pastor Paul.
